1. RB Devon Achane

The almost obvious pick on this list is running back Devon Achane. Achane has been behind former Aggie star Isaiah Spiller pretty much his entire collegiate career so far. Now that Spiller is off to the NFL, the former four-star is ready to shine.

Achane is already one of the most electric running backs in the nation, but his production has been held back by playing time (like another running back in Texas). Regardless, the 5’9 stud has piled up over 1600 yards from scrimmage and 15 total touchdowns. The craziest part might be that he’s averaged a silly 7.4 yards per carry in college (!!!).

You could argue last season was Achane’s breakout season, but I believe there is a level of his ability he hasn’t reached yet. Whether that is rushing or receiving, or both, I don’t know, but having a more consistent role and more touches on this offense will allow him to have a Christian McCaffery-like impact on the field.

Achane has been an unstoppable weapon on offense in his career, and now he gets to be completely unleashed. Not only will he put up huge numbers, but he will help make life a lot easier for whoever is under center. He will breakout in more ways than just statistical. This season will put Achane among the top offensive skill players in the entire country.
