1. Texas A&M football has Devon Achane

The thing to be most excited about around College Station comes in the form of a 5’9, 185-pound maniac on the field. That being junior running back Devon Achane. Achane has Aggie fans in the palm of his hand, and rightfully so. There is a lot to be excited about for him.

Firstly, this is Achane’s first chance at playing starting reps and getting the majority of touches in the offense. In 202 touches from scrimmage in his career, Achane is averaging an insane 8.1 yards per touch. Now you might argue that that number is inflated because receptions are included. Well regardless, the star running back has averaged 7.4 yards per carry in his collegiate career.

Of course, with an increased workload, that number is bound to drop. However, Achane has a great shot at averaging between 5-6 yards per carry next season regardless due to his shiftiness in space and ability to make defenders miss.

This combination of speed and agility makes one of college football’s most electric players. Having that player on your football team makes for an exciting offense, and he will be the reason for much of this offense’s success. As an Aggie fan, you will want to tune in on Saturday’s if you want to watch one of college football’s most exciting players go to work.
