Texas A&M Football: 4 Aggies facing make-or-break seasons in 2022
If you play in the SEC, you have to be able to stop the run, and McKinnley Jackson needs to be that guy for the Aggies this season. Jackson wasn’t used much over the last two seasons thanks in part to the talent ahead of him on the depth chart.
However, those guys are gone now and it’s his time to shine. While he’s shown flashes of the ability to collapse the pocket, he really needs to be an immovable object in the middle of the Texas A&M defensive line.
Jimbo Fisher’s made a point to put Jacksons’ name out there along with others to light a fire under this group at defensive tackle. Hopefully, Jackson is able to answer the call and be that monster in the middle that the Aggies need in order to stop the run against run-heavy offenses throughout the SEC.
