Texas A&M football’s playoff dreams depend on a stout offensive line

As the old saying goes, football games are won and lost in the trenches. The Aggies must dominate the line of scrimmage if they want to contend for the playoffs. Texas A&M’s offensive line must build on the growth and maturity gained in the 2021 season.

Even with the loss of first-round draft pick Kenyon Green, there is still returning experience on the offensive line. With Layden Robinson as the leader of the group and Bryce Foster and Reuben Fatheree returning as sophomores, it seems that the offensive line is off to a good start.

It’s going to be key to find out who is ready to step in along the offensive line to help dominate the SEC trenches and carve a way to the College Football Playoffs. Even head coach Jimbo Fisher is excited about where the offensive line is headed according to 247sports.com

"“I’m very excited about our offensive line. Coach Addazio has done a tremendous job. But he and Layden and Bryce and Trey Zuhn now playing at left tackle along with some of those other guys and the battles that are going to be had, size, athleticism, I think Steve has done a great job. What we struggled with early last year, I think it’s going to be a really big strength of our team.” – Jimbo Fisher"
