Texas A&M football has the players to secure a path to the College Football Playoff, but can they avoid costly injuries that derail their season? The injury bug needs stay away from A&M if they want a chance at crashing the College Football Playoff party.

They’ll need their experienced guys to stay healthy. The most notable injury last year was to quarterback Haynes King, who went down with an ankle injury in Week 2.

This critical injury seemed to haunt A&M the rest of the season as Zack Calzada was a roller coaster at QB. The Aggies stalled on offense a little too often, causing them to underachieve and not meet expectations with an 8-4 record.

Coach Jimbo Fisher seems pretty positive about any injuries in camp. He ensures that not only are there any players looking at sitting the season due to injury, but nothing so far has happened that would be of long-term concern.

Hopefully A&M won’t need to break out the bubble wrap before the season gets started. The coaches and fans alike are crossing their fingers that the Aggies can make it out of fall camp healthy.
