Texas A&M football’s playoff dreams ride on the health of QB’s and their bodyguards

Quarterback

A&M doesn’t want any injuries or setbacks, especially if Haynes King gets the starting nod. On the positive side, they have three talented QBs and should not see the talent drop off like they did at this position last year.

Should one of the QBs go down; between King, Johnson, and Weigman, A&M should be able to weather the storm. With that being said, it could still be a big blow to A&M’s chances at the College Football Playoff.

Offensive Line

The offensive line needs to stay healthy. Last season, Texas A&M had to play some freshman early because of injuries. Aki Ogunbiyi and Layden Robinson both missed playing time last year due to just that.

If the Aggies have injuries, the offensive line will be young and inexperienced really quickly. Injuries could cause the o-line to struggle and not get settled in, disrupting the flow of the offense. This could easily derail a chance at the playoffs.
