3. Coach Durkin brings an aggressive approach to Texas A&M football

We’ve seen how aggressive defensive fronts that are able to get home and pressure or sack the quarterback benefits the entire defensive unit. Linebackers have more free space to run and attack ball carriers and the secondary can be more aggressive in coverage which leads to more pass breakups and interceptions. This is what Durkin will be able to build upon with this talented defensive line and secondary the Aggies currently have.

This Aggies team saw it first-hand last season when Durkin was with Ole Miss. They have to be excited to have him and be the ones dishing out the pressure and not the ones receiving the defensive pressure.

More sacks and takeaways mean more chances for this offense to put points on the board. This forces opposing offenses to keep trying to push the ball down the field, playing right into Durkin’s hands.
