3. Texas A&M football knows how to win the big games

Over the past two seasons, Coach Fisher is 4-3 against ranked teams. This record doesn’t look great at first glance, but in reality, it’s always impressive to have a winning record against top-25 teams throughout any span of games.

Now, the Aggies have shown they can win big games. If you want an example, everyone and their mother remembers the crazy Alabama game last season. You can also say the Auburn game last year was a big win as well, being that they completely stuffed the Tigers in College Station.

What needs to be done now is to win the games you should win. Games like losses against Mississippi State and LSU last year are games that should have been won. What makes this less of an issue is that that can be fixed in easier ways than beating a team completely above your level. It’s just a matter of minimizing mistakes.

Texas A&M has all the tools to be successful, even in a tough SEC West. If they can capitalize on their quarterback situation, their stars step up, and continue to win big games throughout the season, this Aggie team could win the SEC and even secure a playoff spot.
