On Wednesday, Texas A&M football landed three players on the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl Watchlist. To give a bit of an overview, every year, the Senior Bowl aims to give seniors in college a chance to showcase their skills in practices lead by NFL coaches and an annual Senior Bowl game.

Every year, players increase their draft stock at the Senior Bowl, and this could ultimately make or break their draft stock and eventual destiny. For example, before the Senior Bowl, Northern Iowa tackle Trevor Penning was seen as a mid-late round draft pick, however, after videos of him mauling players in practices and showing a nasty demeaner, his stock inflated to the point that he was selected in the first round.

There are 484 position players on this list, which may sound like a lot, however, it is still an honor to be selected to this list because it is a great opportunity to show what you have to scouts. After the season, just over 100 players are selected to participate in the activities, so the list does get trimmed down quite a bit.

As stated before, three Aggies made the list. Wide receiver Ainias Smith made the cut, as he is bound for a breakout season in 2022. Lengthy cornerback Myles Jones also made the list, which is going to be huge for his stock considering his injury history. This is a great chance for him to breakout this season as well.

The last to make the list by no surprise is safety Demani Richardson. After a big season last season, Richardson is firmly in the fold to be drafted after this season, and paired with studs like Antonio Johnson and Jaylon Jones, he will hope to stick out as scouts watch their tape as well.

These Aggies are going to be in the eyes of NFL Draft scouts all season long. If they play up to expectations, they can have a great chance of showcasing their skills in-person in front of scouts and coaches. This can also lead to NFL Combine invites, which is the ultimate athletic showcase for college players. All three are going into huge seasons, and they need to live up to the hype if they aspire to play in the NFL.
