850. Scouting Report. South Carolina Gamecocks. 7. Pick Analysis. Oct. 22. Away. player

Coming off of a loss in Tuscaloosa, the Aggies fortunately get a bye week to get themselves together before heading into Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks bring back many starters as well, and bring in a potential NFL talent at quarterback in Spencer Rattler.

No matter what you think of Rattler, he’s a high-ceiling quarterback who can look elite at times. If he gets hot, with the receiving group South Carolina has, they can be hard to beat. The good thing is, I don’t see the Aggie defense having any problem getting to Rattler.

This is Texas A&M’s chance to get rolling again after a rough game against Alabama. The offense has a chance to run all over this defense. Expect Achane to have another big game and the Aggies to win in impressive fashion, improving to 6-1 and 9-0 against South Carolina all-time.

Prediction: #6 Texas A&M 31, South Carolina 13

Oct. 29. 841. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. #21 Ole Miss Rebels. 8. player. Home

The eighth game of the season will be a big one as the Aggies are back at home hosting the Rebels. This one has potential to be one of the most crucial games of the season for Texas A&M, as this is the last ranked matchup of the season based on the preseason rankings.

This game has a storyline to it with the Aggies hiring away the Rebels’ 2021 defensive coordinator D.J Durkin. Durkin helped make that defense stable, and it will be interesting to see how the Rebels’ defense fares without him.

I think this will be a battle of the offenses in this one. I have enough faith in the Aggies’ defense to hold off the Rebels enough for them to get through this one with a win, moving the Aggies to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

Prediction: #21 Ole Miss 28, #6 Texas A&M 33
