6. DL Shemar Turner

Shemar Turner, a top-10 player in state of Texas in the 2021 recruiting class, played in 8 games as a freshman. Turner has been overlooked by both national media and A&M fans due to the incredible defensive line class recruited in 2022.

No. 5 is ready to explode on to the field as a leader of the defensive line this season. He was awarded Defensive Top Newcomer Award and the Freshman Aggie Award for strength & conditioning at the annual team banquet last year as well. That lets you know he puts in the work off the field and in practice.

A terror for opposing offensive lines and quarterbacks Turner is going to be one to watch against SHSU. I’m looking for Turner to be explosive up the middle, clogging the run lane, and pressuring the QB this Saturday. This should be a tone setter for the sophomore to show how he is going to dominate all season long.
