I’ll be honest, against most FCS teams, this could be a pretty short article. I could just say “they’re completely outclassed and Texas A&M football will roll over them”, and that’d be the long and the short of it.
But Sam Houston State isn’t just any FCS team. They have one loss in the past two years. They were the 2020 D1-AA National Champions. They have several Power 5 transfers on their roster. They’re a powerhouse in their division, and you can be sure the Aggies are not overlooking them. Some rival fans are even calling for an upset!
Sam Houston state is 21-1 in the last two years with an FCS National Championship… my big upset is Sam Houston over Texas A&M https://t.co/Rw6UY5bqOE

Now, does that mean that A&M won’t roll over them? I’ll say no. I’m personally expecting a big victory for the Aggies (as do the numbers – Bill Connelly’s SP+ [which did chart FCS teams last year] projects a 38-7 win for A&M). But in what ways can we expect the Ags to get the win come Saturday, 11 AM?
