The Appalachian State Mountaineers come off of an eventful Week 1 to take on Texas A&M football in College Station on Saturday. While the Aggies shutout the Sam Houston State Bearkats 31-0, the Mountaineers were close to pulling off one of the most intense comebacks in recent memory.
The Aggies’ Week 2 opponent ended up falling to North Carolina 63-61 in one of Week 1’s most exciting games. It’s fair to say that game definitely hit the over. Now, we are looking ahead to what Week 2 has in store for us, but for this article, that will be in terms of betting.
The Aggies and Mountaineers have never faced each other, so this one will be one for the record books. This one should be interesting, as Appalachian State looked a lot more potent on offense than SHSU showed on Saturday.

Texas A&M football vs. Appalachian State Week 2 prediction
Texas A&M looked very stout on defense in their shutout over the Bearkats, however, Appalachian State put up 61 points against an ACC team. Points will more than likely be put on the board, at least for the Aggies’ side of things, it’s just a matter of how the A&M defense will hold up.
With how bad the Mountaineer defense looked on Saturday, I am very comfortable with the Aggies points over/under being set at 35.5. After how explosive the A&M offense looked at times in Week 1, I expect them to come back and begin to get into a rhythm during this game.
