Outlook vs. the Mountaineers

The Aggie defense will be put to the test for the real first time in 2022. We saw what the Mountaineers did to an ACC opponent, and that should be noted by the coaching staff.

Despite what they can do on offense, the Texas A&M defense looked very disciplined and fast. This defense wasn’t something like they faced on Saturday, and it should be much lower scoring this time around rather than against UNC.

For the Aggie offense, this is a chance to have a real field day. This is a great chance not only for Haynes King to continue his success, but to get Devon Achane and the ground game going after a sub-par effort last week.

I expect this game to be a bit closer than last week, but I still think A&M wins this one handily. The starpower on both sides of the ball help the Aggies tremendously and after what the defense showed last week, there’s no reason they should let up nearly as many points as the Tar Heels did to the Mountaineers on Saturday.
