Texas A&M Football: Top-50 recruit Bravion Rogers recommits to Aggies
Well, this is an interesting turn of events for Texas A&M football. Former Aggie commit Bravion Rogers, who decommitted from A&M in August, has recommitted to the Aggies.
There was talk about Rogers possibly recommitting to Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M when he posted on his Instagram story a couple weeks ago that he was in College Station. It turns out he was also in attendance for the opening matchup against Sam Houston State on Saturday.
On Tuesday, 247sports had three crystal balls submitted, one by Steve Wiltfong, director of football recruiting for the site. They are all under a confidence level of six out of ten, so there was a fair amount of certainty in their predictions.
Other recruiting sites like On3 and Rivals have also had predictions posted for the Aggies to land Rogers again. On3 has one with a confidence level of 50% and Rivals had two predictions, one made Monday night, in favor of Texas A&M.
Getting the elite cornerback recruit back as a commit is huge for Fisher and the staff. Before his decommitment, Rogers was the second-highest rated recruit in this class for A&M, behind five-star linebacker Anthony Hill. He now retakes his position as that second-highest rated recruit.
The top-50 prospect currently plays for La Grange High School in Texas, and also competes in track and field. He held offers from many other D-1 programs, including Alabama, Georgia, Michigan State, and the what was the most threatening to his recruitment, LSU. This was a big win for Texas A&M on the recruiting trail, and over the next few weeks, more impressions are to be made to future visitors.
