Welcome to Tired vs. Wired, my (new!) weekly article where I’ll address some of the talking points out there about Texas A&M football – takes both hot and cold. If a point is too reactive, shortsighted, or weakly supported, it earns the status of TIRED. On the other hand, if a point is well-thought-out, nuanced, or generally just makes sense, it earns the status of WIRED. The stakes are high, I know.

Starting the season out at #6 after a tumultuous offseason that saw the Aggies in the headlines for everything from an all-too-well-documented spat between head coaches to the highest rated recruiting class of all time, there is no shortage of hot takes about A&M. Fans of all stripes were spouting off about the Ags for one thing or another, and that trend hasn’t stopped as the season has begun.

After a 31-0 victory over the FCS Sam Houston State Bearkats that saw a 3-hour weather delay and a channel change, there are takes aplenty about the Ags floating around out there.  People are cracking wise about Haynes King’s interceptions, the Aggies’ ability to run the ball, and more.  So what are people saying?  Let’s dive in.
