3. The Texas A&M football defense forces three turnovers
The Aggie defense will be put to the test on Saturday. Even if they allow some points, I don’t expect them to keel over without a fight. With the Mountaineers more than likely playing from behind most of the game, quarterback Chase Brice will be throwing the ball a lot.
Not only will he be forced to win with his arm, but he will have to attempt multiple deep throws each drive. With these big play attempts come turnovers. This A&M secondary has some ball hawks, and if the ball comes their way, there will be a chance to create a turnover.
The defensive line was impressive in the win against SHSU. They caused over 15 pressures and was in the backfield all day. With this sort of pressure, it will cause Brice to have to make quick and smart decisions, which is not easy to do.
If they can get to the quarterback, maybe force a fumble, and cause a couple throws into tight coverage, three turnovers is not even well within reach, but likely. Look out for the defense in Week 2. They have a lot to prove, and they will be looking to cause mayhem for Brice.
