The quarterback battle

This is one of the most heavily debated topics among Aggie fans this fall: who should be the quarterback? I’m not going to tell you I have all the answers, but what I am going to tell you is the Aggies need the quarterback that gives them the best chance to win against Miami.

Whether that be Haynes King, Max Johnson, or the five-star freshman Conner Weigman, A&M needs the best quarterback on the field this Saturday to wake up the offense and utilize all of the talent around them.

Jimbo said his system is not too complex for his quarterbacks, but this Saturday, he will need to have his quarterbacks executing to ignite the offense against Miami. All eyes will be on the QBs, as it was clear that Haynes King struggled against Appalachian State. The Aggie fan base wants a quarterback on the field that can execute the offense.

At this point it does not matter who the QB is, as long as they give A&M a chance to win the game. I have a gut feeling that the offense is going to come out swinging like their backs are against the wall. This game against the Hurricanes will tell us the direction of the program. The Aggies need their offense to click and a quarterback that can deliver the ball.
