A hungry defense

The Fightin’ Texas Aggie defense will need to play their best defense so far this season. The Hurricanes are averaging 50 points, 525 total yards, 284 yards passing, and 238.5 yards rushing per game. Miami is a very balanced team on offense, so it will be crucial for the Aggies play defense well in all areas of the field

With revenge on their mind, the Aggie defense must play lights out from the first snap to the final play. They will be counted on to hold the Miami offense in check to give the Aggie offense time to get going after an anemic perforce last week. A&M will need to disrupt the rhythm of Tyler Van Dyke, Miami’s quarterback, early and often. It will be crucial for them to shut down the run game and lock down the wide receivers.

The Aggies are among the top-six in passing defense with 112.5 yards per game and top-20 total defense, only giving up 256.5 yards total per game. The A&M defense is allowing just over a touchdown at 8.5 points per game.

Miami is about to play their stingiest defense so far this season and it can prove difficult to move the ball against Texas A&M. Be looking to see if the Aggie defense is up for the challenge against Miami, setting the tone for how the rest of the season will go.
