Texas A&M vs. Miami: Everything you need to know about the Hurricanes
Defense preview
The Hurricane defense has yet to face a very competent offense, but so far, they’ve looked decent against the competition they’ve faced. They’ve done a good job of keeping opponents out of the endzone, allowing just two touchdowns this season and 10 points per game.
They’re certainly not an immovable object, though. Through two games, Miami has allowed almost 290 yards per game and 5.41 yards per play. They’ve allowed 8.44 yards per pass attempt, so they haven’t done a very good job on that front, but they do fare well against the run, allowing just 2.25 yards per carry.
The defense doesn’t really have a bona fide leader, but they have many players that can impact the game. For instance, the Hurricanes have seven sacks on the season, all by different players. They’ve also done a good job at forcing mistakes out of the quarterback, having four interceptions so far.

Overall, this defense looks like they have yet to establish an identity, but they know this is their chance to do so. They will be looking to take the ball away as much as they can, but this can also lead to big plays for the Aggies if they’re not careful.
