Texas A&M football vs. Arkansas: Razorbacks team preview and prediction
Texas A&M football vs. Arkansas game prediction
This game certainly makes for an interesting matchup. The Aggies have more of a run-heavy offense, which will be facing one of the top run-defending teams in the country. Through the air, A&M has not been very good to this point, however, Arkansas has the worst pass defense in the country.
For Arkansas, they face one of the top pass defenses in the country and a fairly solid run defense. Rather than a shootout, this may come down to which team limits the most mistakes, whether that be on offense or defense.
Texas A&M looks more stable under Max Johnson, and the team was able to keep the ball safe during the Miami game. While the offense didn’t look nearly as explosive like it has at times, they played smarter, which helped them beat the Canes. Going against a bad secondary in Arkansas, they have a chance to really get the air raid going and create some big plays.
Overall, the Aggies are the more balanced team. They will be regaining many key players, including the four freshmen that were suspended for the Miami game, and Walter Nolen and McKinnley Jackson should both be available to play. I think the A&M offense gets going against the porous secondary, despite the pass rush they will face. The defense should be able to hold Arkansas off enough, but they will still be able to put points on the board.
