I’ll be very honest: these are a lot easier to write when Texas A&M football wins, and boy, did we need this one. It wouldn’t have ruined the season if we lost, really, but this was a big one. 10-of-11 over the Razorbacks sure does feel good.

From the opening salvo by the Hogs, to the fumble return, to the doink on the missed field goal, this was much more of a nail biter than is healthy for me, but I’m sure it’s one that many Aggie fans will be revisiting time and again in the years to come. Just another typical A&M-Arkansas matchup, right? Let’s revisit the last few years:

2014: 35-28 A&M (OT)
2015: 28-21 A&M (OT)
2016: 45-21 A&M (Close until the 4Q)
2017: 50-43 A&M (OT)
2018: 24-17 A&M (Closer than it should’ve been)
2019: 31-27 A&M (Way closer than it should’ve been)
2020: 42-31 A&M (Surprisingly, much less close than it looks)
2021: 20-10 Arkansas (Yes, let’s be fair, closer than it should’ve been)

And now this latest gem. This series always delivers, and I hate it while I’m watching. Every time. Let’s talk takeaways.
