Betting analyst loves the value with the Aggies as the line moves towards Miami
By Josh Yourish
Two of the most recognizable brands in college football had an awful 2022 season, but they’re both off to 1-0 starts to the 2023 campaign. It’s a race to get back to the top of the mountain, or at least back into a bowl game, between the Texas A&M Aggies and Miami Hurricanes.
BetSided college football betting analyst Reed Wallach likes the Aggies to win and to cover and with the line moving towards Miami he’s starting to like it more and more.

Texas vs. Alabama odds, spread and total
Betting analyst prediction for Alabama in Week 2
If you were bullish on Texas A&M coming into the year then last week only reinforced that idea. Especially with the performance of their quarterback.
Wallach wrote, “the process is clearly there with the Aggies, who have a talented former five star recruit in Conner Weigman, who helped boast a Texas A&M offense that had a 52% success rate (92nd percentile relative to all 2022 games), 0,57 EPA/Dropback (94th) and 13% explosive play rate (91st).”
There has been plenty of movement in this betting line and all of it has been in the direction of Miami, which doesn’t scare Wallach off like the Aggies.
“However, oddsmakers opened this line at -4.5, down from the lookahead of Texas A&M -7.5. While those numbers aren’t the best barometer of an efficient market, it shows some renewed positive sentiment in Miami. However, I still favor the far more talented Aggies, who have a size advantage in the trenches on both sides and the skill position players to challenge the Hurricanes.”
Texas A&M can truly show that last season was an aberration with a statement win in Week 2 and BetSided college football betting analyst Reed Wallach thinks that Jimbo Fisher’s team will pull it off.
