It looks like Texas A&M football fans will have to wait just a little longer for their game against Miami to kick off. Weather has been hanging around the area for quite a bit—as you might expect with South Florida—and it sounds like it has now begun to affect the kickoff.

According to Travis Brown of The Eagle, teams exited the field from warmups following this announcement. Hopefully this won’t impact kickoff too terribly much, however, given that it’s still just under an hour before toe meets leather.
Notre Dame vs. North Carolina State, the game immediately preceding the Aggies’ game against the Hurricanes on ABC, also spent significant time in a lightning delay, so that could impact the channel on which the Aggies start their game as well. We will keep this article updated with the latest on all of this information as it develops.
UPDATE: Here’s the latest from KBTX’s Max Crawford.
Depends on what this cell wants to do. Was looking good until the fella on the coast merged with the dying storms. Could see it starting on time but if lightning lingers it may be a while https://t.co/BaArCH3kSC pic.twitter.com/vGoqB0V8Zn
