Texas A&M football wasted no time in making an impact against the Hurricanes, scoring with in less than two and a half minutes, despite being the team to kick off.

12th Man Sam Matthews made a HUGE plays on special teams to begin the day, tackling Xavier Restrepo after only an 11-yard return. Miami, backed up on their goal line, only moved the ball one yard on three plays thanks to a suffocating Aggie defense. When it came time to punt, however, the Aggies turned up the pressure.

Transfer WR Jahdae Walker bursted right up the middle of the punt protection and got a mitt on the ball as it came off the punter’s foot. This set up the Aggies right at the 15-yard line, and, two Amari Daniels rushes later, this happened.

Talk about a strong, impactful start for the Aggies. Hopefully the Maroon and White can keep this intensity up for the whole game and keep the gas pedal down.
