Run Game for Texas A&M Football Will Get Redemption

I talked a lot last week about how I thought the Aggies would give the Hurricanes a heavy dose of the run in Coral Gables. Early on in that contest, it looked like I was correct; however, as the game wore on, the backs for the Aggies found less and less success with their carries, culminating with Amari Daniels’s fumble in plus territory for the Canes. It was incumbent upon the Aggie offense to begin to pass the ball with abandon at that point due to the game situation, so we still haven’t seen a full game of this offensive line imposing their will on the ground.

I think the Aggie front has a decided advantage against the Warhawks here. ULM is undersized, and this Texas A&M football team boasts a huge and athletic offensive line. Though ULM has a habit of twisting and stunting their fronts, much like New Mexico, I’m doubtful they’ll commit as many men to the box as the Lobos did, which will open up some opportunities for big plays on the ground for Owens, Daniels, and Moss.

The Aggies have the pass game down. If they get a run game to match, watch out. This could be one of the most dangerous offenses in the country if that happens.

I’ve got this as a complete pasting, with a score of 49-3 as my prediction. I think this will be easy viewing for the Maroon and White faithful headed into an interesting evening slate of games. BTHOulm.
