Texas A&M Football vs. ULM: Possible Weather Delay
Texas A&M football faces off against the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks today at Kyle Field. The Aggies are heavily favored in this one, as ULM is one of the more perennially disadvantaged programs in all of FBS. Texas A&M football is looking to get back on track as they are coming off of a demoralizing loss against the Miami Hurricanes in Coral Gables, FL, last week.
Ahead of today’s matchup, the X (formerly Twitter) account for Texas A&M football wrote about some storms in the area. You can read it here:
As of right now, kickoff is still set for 3 PM central time. As the post said, those in the area are encouraged to seek shelter until the storms abate. Reporters at the game, such as Brent Zwerneman of the Houston Chronicle, expect there to be a delay when all is said and done, however.
Storms in the area affected the kickoff time against Miami last week. The Aggies still got out to a blazing start, however, going up 10-0 on the Hurricanes before things started to fall apart in the second quarter. The Aggie special teams unit especially shined early. Hopefully, if there is a delay in the kickoff here, the Aggies can remain sharp in the interim period.
We will keep this page updated with whatever update comes across about kickoff time or the storms in general. For now, I would expect there to be a delay, but things could change quickly with the weather.
UPDATE 2:45 CT: As of now, there is officially a weather delay. Kickoff will be around 3:15 CT at the earliest.
UPDATE 3:38 CT: It looks like kickoff is scheduled for 4 PM CT, if all holds with the weather. Ready to get this one underway.
