While Texas A&M football doesn’t need any more reasons to win this Saturday versus Auburn, a must-win game has even higher stakes as the Aggies will host the biggest recruiting weekend of the season so far. Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies are set to host around 20 players, some Texas A&M football commitments in the 2024 class, as well as recruits in the 2025 and 2026 class.

A win this weekend could be huge for momentum over the next 2 years, as well as allowing for the Aggies to further lock in their commitments in the 2024 class. There will be around 10 commitments in the 2024 class, and if the Aggies can put out a dominant showing, it could be huge for maintaining the momentum for this class. Such a large number of the commits being able to make it this weekend could go a long way for the chemistry of the class, and the closer they get as a group, the more attractive it is to outside recruits. One player in particular this could appeal to is Terry Bussey, who has been very interested in the Aggies and is set to commit September 28th. While it is unknown whether Bussey will be in attendance, a dominant win could earn a commitment from the first ranked ATH in the country next week.

This weekend could also be momentum gain for future recruiting classes. 4 big name players from the 2025 class will be in attendance and 5 recruits from the 2026 class, who will have the chance to be around the 2024 A&M commits. For many of these recruits, this will be their first experience at Kyle Field as a recruit, and a win would go a long way in giving a good first impression.

The Aggies have a lot on the line this weekend with their matchup against the Tigers, and a win would go a very long way in not only this year’s recruiting class, but future years as well. Expect Jimbo Fisher to leave it all on the field this weekend, and hope for an Aggie win.
