Texas A&M Football Lands Five Star Athlete

Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M football have just added yet another top-20 player in the 2024 recruiting cycle with the addition of the Number 1 rated ATH in the nation per 247sports, Terry Bussey.

Bussey, who committed on September 28, is the 19th overall player in the 2024 class and is listed as an ATH due to his ability to do it all. In his junior season, he possibly had the greatest high school football stat line ever recorded, putting up over 4700 yards of offense. He threw for 2177 yards in the air with 26 touchdowns, and rushed for 2596 yards on the ground with 46 touchdowns. Along the way, Bussey returned 4 touchdowns on special teams, and had 115 tackles with 5 interceptions, with 4 out of 5 of them being returned for a score.

The stats speak for themselves: Terry Bussey is a freak athlete. Listed at 5’10.5” and 180 pounds, he can play both sides of the ball effortlessly. There are many arguments about which side of the field he will eventually play on, but his size may push him towards the offense. He has great hands, runs a 10.66 100 meter dash, and a 4.42 40 yard dash. Bussey also comes equipped with a fantastic ability to hold his balance and fall forward, not to mention his promising route running ability combined with his explosive speed.

Bussey’s defensive capabilities are just as impressive. He is a hard hitter, with fantastic vision and a great ability to read the quarterback and collapse on the ball. He has very ridiculous chase down speed, and bullies blockers out of the way resulting in very high tackle numbers. No matter what position he plays, Bussey will produce.

Bussey has been trending to the Aggies for quite a while, taking a visit to College Station on June 9th, and a month later on July 13th, he received a Crystal Ball to commit to Texas A&M football. He would later visit for the Aggies’ game against ULM in the midst of pressure from several other schools, including Texas, to come to their campus instead. This commitment didn’t emerge out of nowhere however, as Texas A&M football was one of the first D1 offers Bussey received, back in June 2022. The Aggies have since been speculated as the leader, which Bussey confirmed with his commitment on September 28.
