New Texas A&M Football Commit Terry Bussey Can Do It All

Look: I’m not trying to overreact to the newest Texas A&M football commit. I’m famous for my level-headed reactions. Many are saying this.

However… Terry Bussey is basically Travis Hunter. The Aggies just got their own version of one of the best two-way players in the sport. And I’m not the only one saying so:

The skill set that the newest Aggie pledge brings to the table is formidable. I mean, as a junior, the man recorded a stat line of 4,700 total yards and 72 total touchdowns on offense and five interceptions on defense while playing almost every position on both sides of the ball. Now you may say, “Graham, he only plays in 2A ball! You’d expect any player worth his salt to dominate at that level!” And I would respond that they just ranked a QB number one overall in the country who totaled 2197 yards and 34 total touchdowns for his junior season in 2A high school ball. So point being, sometimes you can just tell.

Bussey is the first true shutdown corner that the Aggies have nabbed since joining the SEC. He has all the physical tools to keep up with the top echelon of receivers that Texas A&M football faces week in and week out as a member of the SEC. Not only does he bring that defensive back skill set, he is clearly a dynamic receiver, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get some run on that side of the ball as well at the college level.

He is the fourth five-star talent that the Aggies have in their 2024 class, joining Cam Coleman, Weston Davis, and Dominick McKinley. That’s an intimidating group that the Aggies are bringing in. And with another five-star corner target out there in Kobe Black, Texas A&M football may not be done yet.
