Texas A&M football and the South Carolina Gamecocks are set to meet this weekend in a matchup that is highly consequential for both sides. For the Aggies, this game represents a chance to begin righting the ship after a disappointing October thus far; for the Gamecocks, this represents perhaps their last best chance at moving towards bowl eligibility and a second straight victory in a series where they have only ever won once.

Texas A&M football finds themselves the favorite for the first time in almost a month, and the biggest favorite since they played the ULM Warhawks in the third game of the season. This is doubtless due to the innumerable injuries sustained by the Gamecocks so far this season in a fashion reminiscent of what happened to the Aggies last year. Carolina’s quarterback, Spencer Rattler, has had difficulty in road games as well, and this will be the most intimidating environment, even at 11 AM, in which the Gamecocks have yet played this season—possibly save a night game in Neyland.
