Texas A&M Football Player Wants a Crack at Rebels

Last year’s game against the Ole Miss Rebels will go down as one of the more ignominious performances by an Aggie defense in quite some time. Now, admittedly, they played their bend-don’t-break role quite well, given the amount of yards they allowed compared to the number of points they allowed. It is true as well that Texas A&M football was missing one of their top performers on that side of the ball in Antonio Johnson. But anytime you allow almost 400 yards of rushing, you have to know that it’s an unacceptable performance.

Following that game, Jaxson Dart and Quinshon Judkins, the QB and main RB for the Rebels, took a celebratory photo at midfield in Kyle Field, captioning it “GIGGED EM”. This, along with the post-game quotes given by head coach Lane Kiffin (as well as many quotes since, and one in particular during the game aimed at DB Bryce Anderson) has understandably made this matchup personal for the Aggies. This was further confirmed today when Demani Richardson tweeted this out:

Richardson is a senior leader for this Aggie defense, so it’s fair to consider this attitude something of a bellwether for the locker room. I don’t think that game was a pleasant memory for many of the defenders on that Aggie squad returning this year; it makes sense that this is a contest they would have circled as one they need to dominate. If Richardson’s sentiment is anything to go by, I would think the Aggies come into this one truly locked in; a great sign, as this is one of the most important games for Texas A&M football down the stretch of this season.

Next. Lane Kiffin can't shut up about A&M and Jimbo. dark
