Rush offense for Texas A&M football vs. Ole Miss rush defense

This is a key area for the Aggies in this one. Against Alabama in 2021, a unit also coordinated by Pete Golding, Jimbo was able to scheme up several key runs in the first half. This is another defense that is extremely aggressive, much like the Tennessee defense the Ags faced a few weeks ago; that time, A&M was unable to break through the initial line for any big runs. If Jimbo and Petrino can get something going on the ground, their chances to win this one go through the roof. A&M has the physical advantage up front, but that hasn’t won them this matchup in many games this year. They’ll have to prove it against what is undoubtedly a tough rushing defense.

Advantage Score: Rebels by 3

Pass offense for Texas A&M football vs Ole Miss pass defense

This Rebel pass defense thrives off of creating havoc. Hurrying quarterbacks is their biggest asset when it comes to defending the pass. Their corners can’t physically match up with the receivers the Aggies are rolling out there, but that matchup has again been neutralized in previous games by an aggressive front seven. This will be a tough one for Max, but he has the talent to put it all together on any given Saturday. Whether he will is another question entirely.

OL for Texas A&M Football vs Ole Miss Pass Rush

The Rebels have recorded four or more sacks in five of eight games this year. The Aggies allow a lot of pressure, but are only middle of the road in sack rate allowed, testifying to Max and Conner’s ability to not let opposing defenses convert pressure into sacks. Golding will be scheming this one up, though, as it has been way too easy to confuse this front for Texas A&M football this year. This is another advantage for the Rebs.
