This Analysis of Ejection for Texas A&M Football Will Make You Laugh
Hilarious Video Breakdown of Texas A&M Football Player’s Ejection
One of the more ignominious moments in the last loss for Texas A&M football was senior leader, Shemar Turner, getting ejected from the game. I touched on this in a previous column, but it was kind of a big moment for the outcome of the game, as the Aggie defensive line began to kind of wear down against the run late in the game.
Turner has since apologized, which he should have done. Good on him for stepping up and taking responsibility in such a complete way. That said, though… after watching this breakdown, you kind of get it. (Language warning for if there are kids around!)
It was glossed over just a bit on the broadcast, but after seeing it broken down like this… I’m not sure I blame Shemar at all. And after all the pearl-clutching by opposing fans posing as college football “news accounts” (one of the dumbest things about Twitter, by the way—but that’s a different article), it was kind of vindicating to see most of the comments siding with Shemar in this instance.
"“I’ll pull a Chris Rock: ‘I’m not saying he’s right, but I understand.'”“textbook instigation; no eye contact and perfectly deniable. A+”“The O-lineman was clearly trying to tbag him without acting like it was a tbag”“If you don’t wanna get punched in the ****, don’t drag them across another man’s head; seems pretty simple.”“As soon as I saw Lane Kiffin I changed my mind about this. The A&M guy should get an award of some kind, maybe an endorsement deal.”"
Shemar may have been ejected from the game, but he lodged himself firmly in the hearts of all watching this video. And that can never be taken away by a referee! At least I don’t think it can. I guess I’m not exactly 100% sure that that’s true. It’s possible they have far more power than I have thus far supposed.
