Gig ‘Em Gazette: How likely is Will Rogers to be able to go this Saturday against Texas A&M football?

Ertel: Based on notes I have heard from practice of him getting more and more reps, as well as an Instagram story posted by the QB this week saying he’s ready to be back, and the line moving down 1.5 points since Tuesday, I would say yes. I also have heard that as of the Western Michigan game, it was approximately a 4-6 week injury, and that would put him about on schedule to be back this week, as well. For the Bulldogs’ sake, I hope he is able to go because I certainly think he gives the team the best chance to win.

Gig ‘Em Gazette: What are the three top names that Texas A&M football fans should be on the lookout for on Saturday?

Ertel: RB Seth Davis is a name I think you will hear a lot of on Saturday night, given MSU’s lackluster passing attack and lack of confidence in the QB situation. This role regularly would be filled by Woody Marks, but injuries have hampered his season and I think will sideline him again this week. Davis averages over 6 yards per carry and has great vision. A lot of touches for him will hopefully mean the Bulldogs aren’t playing out of a hole in College Station. LB Nathaniel Watson will hopefully be a name that Aggies are tired of hearing, as he is currently the SEC sack leader with 8 on the season. He is also five tackles off of Jett Johnson from leading the team in that department as well. The guy absolutely is everywhere on defense. My x-factor is the entire offensive line. Will they be able to allow the QB to make plays without having to create on broken plays every series? Can they control the line of scrimmage to allow the run game to consistently move the ball? I think they will be a key to how successful the Bulldogs can be.
