Will Texas A&M football star receiver play against ACU?

One of the top downfield threats for Texas A&M football, receiver Evan Stewart, has missed the past two games for the Aggies with a thigh bruise. Some had begun to speculate, given the game-time-decision nature of his being held out in the Ole Miss game and the lack of information leading up to the Mississippi State game, that he may end up being out the rest of the year. So will Stewart play today against ACU for Texas A&M football?

While it’s too early to say definitively, signs are pointing in a positive direction. Billy Liucci of Texags reported multiple times this week that Stewart was practicing with the rest of the team—and his mention of this seemed to be far more positive than Jimbo’s declaration that Max Johnson was “at practice” headed into the Mississippi State game.

Stewart is one of the most dynamic players on the field no matter who plays against. If he is able to go today, I have no doubt that he’ll show out in a big way. It really seems like the team is starting to come together under the leadership of interim coach Elijah Robinson, and I think they’ll be ready to put on a huge performance today, even against a lesser opponent. The more this squad plays—and wins—together, the greater the sense of camaraderie will be among them by the end of the year, which, along with hopefully retaining Robinson, will go a long way towards keeping this roster together. BTHOacu!
