Texas A&M Football Transfer Portal Targets: WR Ja’Mori Maclin, North Texas

Pick Analysis. WR. . player. 2388. Scouting Report. North Texas. Ja'Mori Maclin

Despite having only just now finished his sophomore year, and therefore retaining two years of elibigility, Maclin has been in college for four years—two with Missouri and two with the Mean Green. He’s another guy on the Max Johnson eligibility schedule, in other words.

Maclin saw little to no action in his first two years with the Mean Green, but in 2022 and especially 2023, he has begun to show his quality as a receiver. Last season, he recorded 16 receptions for a total of 380 yards. This past season, he notched 1,004 yards on 57 receptions, including 11 touchdowns. Not a bad stat line at all!

Maclin is 5’11 and 183 pounds—a true slot guy, in other words. He would slide into the Ainias Smith role there as a smaller receiver with plenty of shake in the open field. Maclin has received quite a bit of attention since announcing he was entering the portal, however, including an offer from the Aggies. They’d have to beat out several other programs to win his services for 2024.
