The Texas A&M Aggies were definitely tested early on the road.
After what seemed like such high energy from the Bulldog offense, the Aggies had an answer.
There were some doubts about the Aggies this weekend against the 1-5 Bulldogs, but the Aggies responded with a 34-24 victory.
Here are 3 studs and 1 dud in the game.
Stud: Jabre Barber
He came into the game catching 10 balls on the season.
There's no doubt Jabre Barber is a huge reason why the Aggies won this game. He had a huge catch and run to set up a Le'Veon Moss touchdown to take the lead in the second quarter.
He was by far the most reliable offensive weapon for the Aggies.
Well done by Barber,—he'll earn stud status after a stellar performance of 6 catches and 92 yards.
Stud: Scooby Williams
Scooby Williams has gotten increasingly better in pass coverage this season. Last weekend proved just that.
Williams dropped back and intercepted a pass in the second quarter. He read the pass perfectly and made a nice runback with the football as well. In the fourth quarter, he met the running back perfectly and stopped him right on the line on fourth down. Williams basically closed out the game for his team.
Williams finished with six total tackles and 2 of those tackles for a loss. He's become more noticeable making plays and making stops. He deserves our second stud for a nice performance.
Dud: Conner Weigman
After the Missouri performance, this was a different game for Conner Weigman.
He finished with one touchdown and two interceptions, even though he notched 8.7 yards per attempt.
He threw a pick to a spy without even seeing the defender until it was too late. Worst of all, it was in the redzone that led to an easy touchdown drive for Mississippi State.
The A&M defense had to work for this victory, and part of that was because of Weigman not doing as much as he could've.
Stud: Le'Veon Moss
When in doubt, just feed the beast.
Moss and the run game can be trusted if the passing game isn't going well.
After all, we all remember Mike Elko screaming at his coaching staff telling them to run the ball against Notre Dame.
Moss finished with 17 carries, 65 yards and two touchdowns. He would've had a lot more yardage if not for some questionable officiating. That topic might be in a whole different article, but the SEC officials didn't have a good week at all.
Moss has established himself as one of the most consistent backs in the nation. A&M needs to continue to feed him if Weigman is off his game. He's got 674 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.
Moss is well deserving of a stud ranking against the Bulldogs.
