Texas A&M football fans could be looking at another game affected by inclement weather this weekend as they anticipate a trip to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers.
The forecast has been somewhat concerning for most of the week, but it began to look like it would only be raining during game time rather than anything that would cause a delay. Now, however, the chance of lightning and storms looks like it has increased— which could lead to another annoying delay for Aggie fans.
#TAMUvsLSU WX: Bottom Line: 2 rounds of storms: 12-3 PM & after midnight w/low chance of isolated storm for game. SE wind 5-10 mph. Kick/Half/End Temp: 72/70/69.

TAILGATING: Cloudy & warm w/storms 12-3 PM. SE wind 5-10 mph except higher near storms. High: 75. #BTHOlsu #12thMan pic.twitter.com/wCXamXbDNT
With a 6:30 PM local kickoff, the Aggies and Tigers could sneak right in between the two rounds of storms mentioned above; however, some outlets are predicting thunderstorms during the 6:00 hour, which could affect things negatively. If storms begin to move in earlier than midnight, as well, the Aggies and Tigers could be staring down the barrel of a very late end time— or even a suspended game.
Texas A&M could be facing another annoying weather delay against LSU
The Aggies faced this last week, with the kickoff for their game being pushed back by two hours. With this game against LSU already slotted to kick off pretty late, however, a repeat of that seems unlikely. If the weather delay hits in the second half and begins to drag on extremely late, however, the game could eventually be suspended.
That's something no fan wants to see, but it's hovering in the background as a possibility due to how late this game is scheduled to kick off. If the game were moved up to 2:30 or earlier, that could help avoid such a situation, but that also seems unlikely: Kirk Hebrstreit is scheduled to be on the call, and he'll be in Nashville for College Gameday until 11 AM CT.
Both Texas A&M and LSU have bye weeks next week, so there's a possibility of something being rescheduled for that weekend since the schedules match up. Of course, that's a emergency scenario, as I doubt that either coach would be very eager to give up a much-needed off weekend. This will be something to monitor headed into tomorrow night, however.
