2026 5-stars Texas A&M football fans should know: OT John Turntine III

One of the top players in the state of Texas, John Turntine has long been an Aggie and Longhorn battle. Ranking right up there with some of the best players from this previous cycle in the Lone Star State, Turntine will be a hotly-contested battle between the two premier in-state schools that I think will go right down to the wire.

It's hard to miss why he's such a big time prospect, too, coming in at the number 12 prospect in the composite rankings. He's massive, for one thing— even though his listed measurables are only 6'3" and 275 LBs, he has the frame to add way more weight comfortably.

His technique is advanced for a guy of his age as well. He could play inside or outside, but most likely projects as a tackle due to his length.

This is a true toss-up between the Aggies and Longhorns. As I will discuss in a moment, the Ags are going big game hunting in OL recruiting this cycle, so if they hit on one of those players, it increases the chances that he ends up in Austin. But as of right now, this one is 50/50.
