After Texas A&M football's opt-outs and injuries, three Aggies to watch in bowl matchup with Southern Cal

Texas A&M football will be playing in their bowl game in just over a week. As Aggie fans doubtless are already well-aware, they will be facing off with the USC Trojans in the Las Vegas Bowl, in one of the bigger brand matchups of the postseason (outside of the playoff, of course).

However, both teams are facing some opt-outs and transfer portal losses headed into this game. Though the Aggies are definitely affected, there's really not much question that the Trojans have a higher number of question marks headed into this one.

Even so, this is a game that is still meaningful for both sides. The Ags are looking to springboard into next year as they continue to build under Mike Elko, and Lincoln Riley is attempting to salvage a tenure in Los Angeles that seems like it's going nowhere fast.

For Aggie fans, there will be some young talent on display that they should keep a close eye on. Here are three interesting names to watch in this game.

Three Texas A&M football players to watch in Las Vegas Bowl: Rylan Kennedy

Kennedy has been an itinerant player for the Aggies along the defensive line, but has more than once flashed some amazing potential. As a matter of fact, it was the Aggies' bowl game last year where he really began catching fans' eyes, even at a loaded position.

With both Scourton and Stewart opting out of the bowl game, no. 15 for the Aggies will have the chance to make some noise. Against a potent passing attack for the Trojans— albeit one that will be missing some key players— Kennedy has the chance to have a huge impact. He'll split time with Cashius Howell, but I'll be keeping my eyes peeled whenever I see Kennedy in the game.
