Texas A&M football’s leading man is giving Aggie fans exactly what they want to see. It might not be football season just yet, but that doesn't mean Aggie fans can’t get excited for next year’s season, especially after the year Texas A&M had last year. The Aggies went 11-1 in last year’s regular season, which landed them a spot in the first round of the College Football Playoff against the Miami Hurricanes.

However, the Aggies' first-ever playoff game didn’t exactly go how they would have liked. They would only put up a measly three points in a 10-3 loss that saw quarterback Marcel Reed throw two interceptions. Texas A&M knew that its offense had to be better, and all eyes looked to Reed as it was his job to do so.

Now, Reed seems to be embracing the pressure, as he has been seen putting in the work, and it’s also clear to see that the results are paying off. An article was recently written by D1 Training about how Reed has been going through training with the D1 Training team.

Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed is putting on the weight he needs to become a deadly weapon

Reed has been going through a number of speed and strength routines, and recent pictures have surfaced that show the Aggie quarterback looking like he has put on some size for next season.

Not only should Aggie fans be excited about how this new size will translate to the field, but they’ll also be happy to know that Reed isn’t alone. Safety Dalton Brooks, tight end Micah Riley and transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton all joined Reed for this training extravaganza. This has allowed three of the five captains to grow their community and leadership with one another and build something that will hopefully translate to the field.

Last season, Reed threw for 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns, easily having the best season of his college career. In turn, it would lead the Aggies to one of their best seasons of college football in recent years, yet in the end, it wasn’t enough.

You had to wonder, was Reed the quarterback who could truly take the program to the next level and perform in the biggest moments? Well, it is now crystal clear that Reed is nowhere near satisfied with how last year ended and is pushing himself and his teammates to the limit, so that they can honor the maroon and white to the best of their abilities.
