Bucky McMillan has been on a massive run in the transfer portal for Texas A&M basketball. The newest Aggie head coach came into College Station with an all-but-entirely depleted roster to greet him, but he's done nothing besides work his tail off in the transfer ranks to bring in some huge names.

The Aggies have added luminaries from around the sport to fill out their roster, including guys like Indiana big man Mackenzie Mgbako, Texas Tech big Federiko Federiko, and Kansas transfer guard Rylan Griffen. Though fans, given the turnover on the roster, didn't have huge expectations for Bucky's first year at the helm, this sort of turnaround has made some true believers— this is a team that could compete for a title in year one.

The latest addition, and maybe the biggest name of all, is that of former Creighton guard Pop Isaacs. Isaacs, a high-level scorer who has spent time at Texas Tech and Creighton, had originally committed to Houston before announcing this morning that he was flipping to Texas A&M.

This is an absolutely massive pickup for the Aggies. Isaacs is a bona fide star at the college level, and can put the ball in the hoop with the best of them.

Isaacs averaged 16.3 points per game for Creighton, shooting just over 38% from three. This is a hand-in-glove fit for Bucky's system as a primary scoring threat.

The thing everyone's been trying to make sense of this morning is why Isaacs flipped from Houston. It appears to have to do with the fact that Houston's Milos Uzan will be returning to school, creating a logjam at the guard position down at UH.

Regardless of the reason, though, this is a massive pickup for the Aggies. Bucky has shown even before a single game has been played that the biggest concern people had with him before his hire, the ability to recruit, is a non-issue when all is said and done.
