Bucky McMillan pulls off yet another huge portal addition with commitment of Oklahoma's Duke Miles

In only a little bit of time on the job yet, Bucky McMillan is doing a lot to impress Texas A&M basketball fans. He came into the head position at a disadvantage, forced to recreate a roster from the ground up after Buzz Williams left the Aggies with only one player on their team.

While the work is by no means done, McMillan has done a really admirable job in taking steps to address this dearth of players. All he's done so far is snag some really solid contributors from around the country and a guy who would have ranked as the highest-ever rated recruit the Aggies have ever signed in former Indiana forward Mackenzie Mgbako.

He's continuing his scorching hot streak today. The news came down this afternoon that Oklahoma guard Duke Miles has committed to McMillan and Texas A&M basketball, even as the Aggies were the first school that he visited.

This is a great job by McMillan to lock in a sure starter for the Aggies before he even left campus after his first visit. The OU transfer had several other destinations on his itinerary, but I'm sure there are coaches all over the country grumbling after McMillan snagged this one.

This is another important building block on this roster for McMillan and company. As I mentioned, Miles is a no-doubt starter that many other schools around the country were looking to add. His shutting this recruitment down so early on is nothing short of a heist.

The Aggies' year one expectations for Bucky Ball are rising with every consecutive name that pledges to McMillan. He is quickly looking like he'll field one heck of a roster here in his first season, and excitement only keeps growing.
