It's still early in the tenure of Bucky McMillan in College Station, but so far, he's knocked everything he's done out of the park. The Aggies have cleaned up in the transfer portal to rebuild this team from the ground up— something they needed badly to do after Buzz Williams left the cupboard bare.

The Aggies are rounding into shape with regard to their roster quite nicely by this point. Some key pickups include Mackenzie Mgbako, Rylan Griffen, Federiko Federiko, and Jacari Lane. There was clearly still more work to be done, but what Bucky was able to accomplish in a short time had fans really encouraged.

Now, out of absolutely nowhere, Bucky has once again given Aggie fans a reason to cheer. Late last night, the news broke that the Ags had made another huge add to their roster.

Bucky McMillan picks up unexpected commitment from USC transfer Rashaun Agee

Most Aggie fans were getting ready for the NHL or NBA playoffs last night— or maybe discussing the chances for the baseball team in today's game— when the alert came across that the Aggies had made another add to their roster, surprising every one of the Maroon and White faithful. Rashaun Agee, formerly of the USC Trojans, had added his name to the list of Aggie signees.

Agee is a 6'8" forward who can shoot the ball pretty well. He wasn't a high-volume offensive player for the Trojans, averaging only 9.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, but that could easily scale in Bucky's system.

From Chicago, Agee spent time at New Mexico State and Bowling Green before heading to Southern California. He's a career 55% shooter from the floor and 33% from beyond the arc, but he shot 39% last year from three on two attempts per game. Again, hopefully that will scale in a larger role in College Station.

Maybe the biggest thing about this commitment? He's got a tailor-made last name for some pretty good signs. Agee... Aggie... it makes sense. Someone more creative than me can come up with that.
