Texas A&M is reportedly set to host five-star receiver and top overall portal player Cam Coleman this upcoming weekend, according to a recent report from Pete Nakos of On3. As you'd expect, the competition for Coleman's services is pretty stiff, and the rival Texas Longhorns in particular are doing everything they can to get him in a burnt orange jersey, even if they don't have the numbers on their side.

The Longhorns have been working their media connections as hard as they possibly can in order to manifest their dream of getting Coleman, but if he makes it to this Aggie visit, it will probably remain only a dream for them. The connections between Texas A&M and Coleman run very deep, and it will be tough to deny them if the Aggies are able to properly leverage their visit.
Texas A&M set to receive visit from Cam Coleman this weekend as Aggies continue their pursuit of top overall portal player
You can bet that the Longhorns will do everything possible to keep Coleman away from Texas A&M— there's already talk going around of some pretty shady and underhanded tactics that reek of desperation on their part. To them, it's one thing to miss out on a guy like Coleman— but it's completely unacceptable for A&M to get him.
Unfortunately for those in burnt orange, the Aggies are still a major player here. Coleman's fit is obvious with the Aggies, and they are clearly better-suited to help portal receivers find that next level they're looking for, as they did in spades this past year.
That said, the Aggies still need to get him on campus. Things can evolve quickly in the portal, so Texas A&M fans should sit tight here and watch his next moves carefully— if he gets to College Station, it will be a big win for the Ags.
