2019 CFP National Championship: LSU vs. Clemson

This all-Tiger final featured what most consider to be the best college football team in recent memory. The LSU offense, featuring Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, Ja’Marr Chase, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Terrace Marshall, and more was obviously studded with future NFL stars.

Their defense wasn’t half-bad either, though it was clearly not the strength of the team. LSU won this by 17 points, 42-25, which was the closest game they had played since dispatching Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Clemson put up a valiant effort, in other words, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the force of nature that this LSU team was. The Bayou Bengals got Ed Orgeron his national championship, not knowing that his star would quickly fade after this game.
