Texas A&M basketball comes into March Madness looking to make this season one for the record books. The Aggies, despite some ups and downs, have had a remarkably successful season overall thus far, and they are hoping to cap it off with a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

However, despite the Aggies earning a top-4 seed, not eeryone is buying that Buzz Williams's squad can make it out of the first round. A&M once again got a raw deal from a selection committee, surprising absolutely zero members of the Maroon and White faithful, leaving the Ags with a tough round-one matchup.

That matchup comes against the Yale Bulldogs, who just last year took down a really solid Auburn team in the first round. Yale has a history of defeating higher-seeded teams, too, with their takedown of Baylor being another notable recent example (and one that led to one of the great press conference answers of all time). One notable college basketball personality took to Twitter to explain why the Aggies should be on upset watch in this first-round game.

Jay Bilas outlines why Texas A&M basketball is on upset alert against lower-seeded Yale Bulldogs

One of the sharpest basketball minds on ESPN, Jay Bilas, ran down a list of double-digit seeds in the tournament field that could win their initial matchups. Much to the chagrin of Aggie fans, Yale was the first team that Bilas listed.

If the Bulldogs do pull off an upset, it will come thanks to some lights-out shooting from the three-point line. The Aggies don't have the best track record when it comes to defending the three, and we've seen tournament games in recent history where the Ags fell victim to such a strategy.

Make no mistake: this is a game that the Aggies should win, and to lose would mean nothing short of an absolute disaster of an ending to this season. A&M needs to make the second weekend of the tournament for this to be considered a successful postseason, so they have to keep their guard up.

But at the same time, Aggie fans should take heed. There's a reason so many voices around the sport are sounding alarm bells on this front: there's a very real concern here. Hopefully, their predictions don't come true in tomorrow's game.
