College Football 26 ranks Texas A&M football highly ahead of 2025 season

The premier college football video game doesn't see any school as elite, but has the Aggies as one of the best.

Texas A&M football fans were elated, just like every other college football fan, at the long-awaited return of EA's last installment of a college football videogame. The title and franchise formerly referred to as "NCAA" is now simply "College Football," and the newest edition just hit shelves recently.

It's not uncommon to watch closely with these kind of things and check to see where your favorite school falls in the rankings. It's a fun part of the offseason, even if those who are making the game have no more insight than your average fan does about the quality of the roster.

Aggie fans were looking, hawk-eyed, at the leaks and releases from the game to catch a whiff of the rating for Texas A&M, just to see in what regard the Aggies were being held. Fortunately for them, it looks like the developers have a pretty high view of A&M's quality in the upcoming year.

Texas A&M comes in at 8th overall in EA Sports College Football

Texas A&M is a top ten team, thanks mostly to their balanced profile in the upcoming game.

This matches up well with the Aggies' rating in advanced rating systems such as SP+ and FPI, both of which are higher on Texas A&M than the pollsters seem to be right now. If the Aggies can live up to their rating there, it will be a pretty good season.

Of course, you see three teams that the Aggies have on the road represented here in this graphic. That means that the Ags will have quite the task in front of them with these three road contests.

Whatever else, this also means that the Aggies will be one of the most exciting teams to use in the game, thanks to their balanced attack. Hopefully, A&M will be one of the most exciting teams to watch in the entire country this season as wellโ€” and with players like Marcel Reed, I think that's a pretty realistic outcome.
