We've seen ESPN snub the Aggies several times before, but this time is peculiar to say the least.
Even more than 24 hours after the CFP selection show on ESPN, Aggie fans were quit to notice a blunder made by the official 'X' account of the College Football Playoff.
Some other fans might just say, this was just a pure accident. Knowing Aggie fans, that's not what they'll believe.
CFP 'X' account makes a confusing leap between No. 14 and No. 16 teams
Obviously, this article has nothing to do with SMU football. This is to show the evidence that the CFP 'X' account has completely forgotten about posting Texas A&M on their account.
Here's the next post if you tried to scroll down to see the No. 15 team in the country.
Aggie fans aren't even really sure how to react to this other than ask the committee if they still exist.
Fans were quick to respond on social media to the SMU and Kanas State post.
There are more comments from fans, but you get the idea.
We were able to reach one full day and not one peep from the CFP 'X' account about the No. 15 team. What if someone didn't watch the show? What if someone just relied on the official account for results if they couldn't watch the program?
Obviously, we're fully aware that there are many ways to get information in 2024, but this is the official social media account of the College Football Playoff with almost 700,000 followers.
Knowing Aggie fans, they hold historic grudges. They weren't just not going to notice an empty ranking coming from a prominent account.
Either way, the Texas A&M Aggies have bigger fish to fry. They need to stay focused to get to a prime position to get to Atlanta.
If things go Texas A&M's way the next few weeks, hopefully the CFP social media people just won't "forget" to add in the Aggies when it matters most.
